Solo exhibition at Gallery Seira in Ginza, Tokyo.
Here you can see the world of chimimōryō, supernatural creatures believed to inhabit Japan’s mountains and rivers.
Their stories have been passed down as fairytales and they are often blamed for trivial,
inconvenient or puzzling things that occur in daily life.
Japanese people have been painting them since ancient times and I see myself as carrying on that tradition.
This was my first solo exhibition in Tokyo.
About a third of these works found a home elsewhere.
I miss them a little but I know that they are well taken care of.
